Hey ya’ll in the world!
Well, I had an interesting day at work. I came out to two more people today. Amanda and Will.
Amanda is really cool! She is so bubbly and although she can be a little intimidating when there’s work to get done, she’s still like way cool! And what about Will…
Well…Will is almost exactly like my brother Ian. Almost to a T. It really is uncanny. And as I sit here; I think of all the nuancies that I could draw direct correlations between Ian and Will, why should I bother? I mean I know that Will is Will and Ian is Ian, but they are sooo much alike half the time I want to call Will Ian. ~giggles~ Oh well.
I don’t know why people have to knock people. I really don’t know why. Will was kinda upset I just didn’t tell him on my own. His point ( I think) was that I should have had enough courage to talk to him one on one. I mean my manager and I had talked it over and we decided it was in everybodies best interest to talk to him with the manager there. We (Erin and I) honestly didn’t know how Will would take it. In the end it turned fine. He even told me to have a good night and to enjoy my day off! ~giggles~ he never does that! He also waited for the other girls to leave and I held the door for him and he waved me to go first and held the door for me!
I think he’s a little high strung; but, all in all, he has some very good points and makes alot of sense. After Erin (my boss) and I told him, he treated me very well. Here’s the lesson, don’t let what people say about others deflect your own opinions and never, EVER judge a book by it’s cover! Draw your own conclusions based on your own interactions and observations.
Two nights ago.
My girlfriend, Cassy, sat down next to me while I was in bed and started going through some envelopes. She found one that was a baby Emerald. It was small enough to where it was soooo precious and I told her I wanted to get it mounted on a ring. She started smiling and said “Merry Christmas.” My jaw hit the ground (figuritively speaking). My girl had given me a REAL Emerald! I’m still like “Oh my God! Oh my God!”
Cassy is such a sweetheart and she works very hard…at everything. She managed to get me some Christmas presents, and instead of cash (she knew I would take that cash and pay bills with it) she got me some clothes! I don’t have a clue how she made that happen.
Now that we both have jobs, I asked her if I could keep the books and the budget. She reluctantly agreed, she said that it was because she just wasn’t used to somebody that wanted to take the accounting. But, I love working budgets and maintaining documentation so I showed her a preliminary budget and my personal ledger. She was impressed and said ok. So now I have work to do at work, and accounting to do at home! ~giggles~ Life is definitly starting to look up.
A side not here to contradict what I just said. Stree racing is B.A.D., DO NOT STREET RACE! How do I know this? Well, when TS folks start the nessacary hormone therapy, the brain gets rewired. Well considering the fact that my brain was rewired some time ago coupled to the fact that I am going through what is effectively a second puberty, I’m doing stupid teenage things. I was part of a street race a couple of nights ago and we (the White SUV I was racing and myself) got pulled over. Here in Indiana street racing (a.k.a. reckless driving) is a class B misdameanor. So my otherwise spotless criminal record now has a misdameanor on it. The officer didn’t give me the demonstration of speed and power thing (which he told me would’ve sent me to jail that night) but he did tell me that I needed to sign a summons to appear in court. In Indiana the reckless driving thing is punishable by up to 6 months in prision, a $2000.00 fine, or both. I was horrified when I heard the max punishments. I don’t want to go to jail! ~whaaaa~ But I’ll just tell the judge “Your Honor, I was alone in the car, it was under my control, and I made a bad call. Now I’m here to face my punishment.” With God’s good grace, the judge will only give me a fine. The misdameanor will still go on my record, but I really can’t afford to go to prision. Cassy doesn’t have a car and she depends on me to take her to the next town up and drop her off for school and then pick her up after work. My car is a manual transmission, and Cassy doesn’t know how to drive a manual. I really screwed up. I’m normally not that irresponsible.
I’m just glad that the officer didn’t ask for my insurance. THAT would’ve garunteed me a trip to prision…probably suspension of my liecense too. Since I just now got a job, I haven’t had any money to pay for my insurance, so it lapsed. I need to call them sometime today and explain myself and hope they (the insurance company) will take me back. Being out of work for 3.5 months is really hard on the bills. People, wait untill you have another job before you quit your current job!!!
Okies…does everybody have the lesson for this blog entry? ~giggles~
1- No street racing (find a track)
2- Wait untill you have job before quiting your job
3- Never judge a book by it’s cover
4- Appreciate those that love you, they are irreplaceable.
5- did anybody count a 5th lesson? but, I am a blonde so maybe there was one! ~giggles~
Bye for now! Loves ya’ll!!!
Leah!
