Hey ya’ll!

Posted by Leah on February 11, 2007

Hey all!

Well, not alot to say today.  Cassy went to work and I’m cleaning and doing laundry.  Pretty boring huh?  Cassy will be happy when she gets home and see’s what I’ve done.

As for me…well, I’m tired.  ~whaaa~ I want my Cassy!  :)

Speaking of which; Cassy gave me some of her pictures to post up here so everybody can see who my mate is!  :D   Happy!

I talked to Will and Amanda last night and told them that I like them both and I didn’t want to get inbetween each them.  See, they don’t particulary care for each other.  But they did tell me that they’re glad I don’t want to get caught inbetween them and they also told me that they didn’t want to drag me in, which I really appreciate!

Cassy ran into one of her old friends at work last night when I went to pick her up.  I think it’s great she ran across an old friend, but I also know that sometimes when old friends get together, they act like they used too.

Granted I’ve always been on the more reserved side of things, and I don’t want to stifle Cassy’s social life, I told her that I would really appreciate it if her social life stayed outside of the house.  When we get our own place I don’t want to come home and there’s four people I don’t know sitting in my house.  I told Cassy that I feel the home is a sanctuary for she and I.  She got quite until I told her that house rules needed to be established jointly and that both of us needed to abide by them.  I just don’t want to get sick or be real tired and have people over.  Having guests is fine, as long as we check with each other first.

I don’t care about a social life, Cassy is worth alot more than any friends I may have now or in the future.  I also reversed the senario and told her that what if she had her finals the next day and she was trying to study and Amanda and Will and I decided to get loud?  She wouldn’t appreciate it.  I guess we’ll have to see how everything works out.

I’ll try to get her pictures up tonight so everybody can see!  And I need to figure out why the “Who is Leah” page is set to the home page…

Kisses, hugs and love!

Leah!  :D

(caps) WTF !?!

Posted by Leah on February 9, 2007

Hey ya’ll in net land.

I’m not a happy girl right now.

Let me ask you a question…should minorities be alowed to work in a non discrimitory environment?  That’s a no-brainer, of course they’re allowed to work in a non-hostile environment.

It really is too bad…I mean Cassy and I are both TS, but she went into work last night and the first thing she has to do is talk to the store manager.  He said that she’s not allowed to use the female rest room.  She responded that she wouldn’t use the male bathroom.  (Remember the segregation from the 60’s?  colored busses, colored rest rooms?  I learned about those in Junior High School.)  Well, now she’s only allowed to use the family bathroom.

If this weren’t bad enough, it’s pretty much all over the workplace that she’s TS.  All the girl wanted to do was go to work and be treated like a normal girl.

Question: When is everybody going to get over their little personal biasness???  If you don’t like minority races – tuff, deal with it, they’re people aren’t they?  If you don’t like Lesbian or gay – Tuff, deal with it, they’re people aren’t they?  If you don’t like TS – Tuff, deal with it, we’re people too!

I apologize to everybody for this horrible little blog, but everytime personal bias get’s loose in the work place it makes me madder than hell.

As I sit here….

Posted by Leah on February 8, 2007

Hey ya’ll in the world!

Well, I had an interesting day at work.  I came out to two more people today.  Amanda and Will.

Amanda is really cool!  She is so bubbly and although she can be a little intimidating when there’s work to get done, she’s still like way cool!  And what about Will…

Well…Will is almost exactly like my brother Ian.  Almost to a T.  It really is uncanny.  And as I sit here; I think of all the nuancies that I could draw direct correlations between Ian and Will, why should I bother?  I mean I know that Will is Will and Ian is Ian, but they are sooo much alike half the time I want to call Will Ian.  ~giggles~  Oh well.

I don’t know why people have to knock people.  I really don’t know why.  Will was kinda upset I just didn’t tell him on my own.  His point ( I think) was that I should have had enough courage to talk to him one on one.  I mean my manager and I had talked it over and we decided it was in everybodies best interest to talk to him with the manager there.  We (Erin and I) honestly didn’t know how Will would take it.  In the end it turned fine.  He even told me to have a good night and to enjoy my day off!  ~giggles~ he never does that!  He also waited for the other girls to leave and I held the door for him and he waved me to go first and held the door for me!

I think he’s a little high strung; but, all in all, he has some very good points and makes alot of sense.  After Erin (my boss) and I told him, he treated me very well.  Here’s the lesson, don’t let what people say about others deflect your own opinions and never, EVER judge a book by it’s cover!  Draw your own conclusions based on your own interactions and observations.

Two nights ago.

My girlfriend, Cassy, sat down next to me while I was in bed and started going through some envelopes.  She found one that was a baby Emerald.  It was small enough to where it was soooo precious and I told her I wanted to get it mounted on a ring.  She started smiling and said “Merry Christmas.”  My jaw hit the ground (figuritively speaking).  My girl had given me a REAL Emerald!  I’m still like “Oh my God!  Oh my God!”

Cassy is such a sweetheart and she works very hard…at everything.  She managed to get me some Christmas presents, and instead of cash (she knew I would take that cash and pay bills with it) she got me some clothes!  I don’t have a clue how she made that happen.

Now that we both have jobs, I asked her if I could keep the books and the budget.  She reluctantly agreed, she said that it was because she just wasn’t used to somebody that wanted to take the accounting.  But, I love working budgets and maintaining documentation so I showed her a preliminary budget and my personal ledger.  She was impressed and said ok.  So now I have work to do at work, and accounting to do at home!  ~giggles~  Life is definitly starting to look up.

A side not here to contradict what I just said.  Stree racing is B.A.D., DO NOT STREET RACE!  How do I know this?  Well, when TS folks start the nessacary hormone therapy, the brain gets rewired.  Well considering the fact that my brain was rewired some time ago coupled to the fact that I am going through what is effectively a second puberty, I’m doing stupid teenage things.  I was part of a street race a couple of nights ago and we (the White SUV I was racing and myself) got pulled over.  Here in Indiana street racing (a.k.a. reckless driving) is a class B misdameanor.  So my otherwise spotless criminal record now has a misdameanor on it.  The officer didn’t give me the demonstration of speed and power thing (which he told me would’ve sent me to jail that night) but he did tell me that I needed to sign a summons to appear in court.  In Indiana the reckless driving thing is punishable by up to 6 months in prision, a $2000.00 fine, or both.  I was horrified when I heard the max punishments.  I don’t want to go to jail!  ~whaaaa~  But I’ll just tell the judge “Your Honor, I was alone in the car, it was under my control, and I made a bad call.  Now I’m here to face my punishment.”  With God’s good grace, the judge will only give me a fine.  The misdameanor will still go on my record, but I really can’t afford to go to prision.  Cassy doesn’t have a car and she depends on me to take her to the next town up and drop her off for school and then pick her up after work.  My car is a manual transmission, and Cassy doesn’t know how to drive a manual.  I really screwed up.  I’m normally not that irresponsible.

I’m just glad that the officer didn’t ask for my insurance.  THAT would’ve garunteed me a trip to prision…probably suspension of my liecense too.  Since I just now got a job, I haven’t had any money to pay for my insurance, so it lapsed.  I need to call them sometime today and explain myself and hope they (the insurance company) will take me back.  Being out of work for 3.5 months is really hard on the bills.  People, wait untill you have another job before you quit your current job!!!

Okies…does everybody have the lesson for this blog entry?  ~giggles~

1- No street racing (find a track)

2- Wait untill you have job before quiting your job

3- Never judge a book by it’s cover

4- Appreciate those that love you, they are irreplaceable.

5-  did anybody count a 5th lesson?  but, I am a blonde so maybe there was one!  ~giggles~

Bye for now!  Loves ya’ll!!!

Super Bowl XLI – COLTS WIN!!!!!!!!

Posted by Leah on February 8, 2007

Hey ya’lls!

Just wanted to share the good news for everybody not paying attention…

COLTS WON THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!!!!

It’s weird, I never liked sports in general.  I mean the only one I kinda liked was baseball.  My favorite team is the Colorado Rockies!

But, let’s get back to football for a second.  Ummm…maybe a little back ground about me is in order.  To help you understand how big this game really is for me.

See…I’m a Transsexual girl.  I started my transition around midMarch of last year (2006).  Not alot of people can grasp the enormous complexity of not fitting the gender norms.  So far, my sister has told me to go away, my dad can’t even talk to me anymore, and my mom.  Well I won’t get too personal here.  But my brother Ian?  He thinks it’s absolutly cool.  He doesn’t personally agree with me, but he has acepted that this is alot better than suicide.  I totally agree.

The point I wanted to make is that I never cared for any sports before I started transition.  Now; though, I really like football and I can’t wait for Baseball to start.  I’m really excited to watch the season!

I guess you could say most of my character has changed.  I’m alot more cheerful and upbeat now.  I really enjoy life now.  I only wish I had something that I could do to really help the less fortunate people in the world.  Hey, if anybody has any brilliant ideas how to help alot of people, please let me know!  giggles

Since I’m in Indiana and my first SuperBowl (that I was interested in) took place while I was here and it was Indiana’s team, well, that’s why this SuperBowl was really special to me.

Hmmm…what else to write in here…well, nothing’s coming to mind so I guess I’ll sign off for now!

Kisses,  hugs and love!

God Bless!

Posted by Leah on February 4, 2007

Hiya’s all!

This is my second attempt at a blog (let’s not discuss the first one, shall we?) and I’m really excited about this blog!

Well, I’m living in somewhere, Indiana (30 miles away from nowhere, Indiana) and I just finished my first week at my new job.  It was a little confusing for about the first two days but on the third night everything fell into place and I got a compliment from one of the waitresses!

In case you haven’t guessed it by now, I’m a cook at a local resturant.

It’s almost dinner time and I am watching the Superbowl tonite so I’m gonna split!

Luv’s ya!
